MythBrowse is an AI-first desktop browser on the Servo engine. No Chromium. All Rust. Windows first. Even the browser's own interface is HTML/CSS rendered by Servo.
Status: pre-alpha
The open build (v0.4.2, MPL-2.0) is public on GitHub as an early preview you can build yourself. Packaged preview builds are not published yet. Private development builds (v0.4.3) add more features, and are not released. An upgrade to Servo 0.7 is in progress.
Two builds

In the open build
- Address bar: a URL opens directly; any other text goes to the AI home as a prompt; start with
?to search the web. Suggestions appear as you type. - Frameless window: tabs live in the title bar. Drag empty title-bar space to move the window (double-click maximizes) and drag any edge to resize. On Windows, the system shadow, rounded corners (Windows 11), Aero Snap and Snap Layouts are kept.
- Browsing: session restore, history, bookmarks, downloads, a password manager (with Chrome / Edge import), cookies and site data management, site permissions, pop-up blocking, page zoom and find in page.
- Time-of-day theme: dawn, day, dusk, evening and night, with Reduce transparency and Reduce motion.
- Site compatibility: a breakage detector and per-site fix rules, plus fixes to Servo itself.
- AI chat with your own model: chat on the new tab page, and the Myth panel beside a page. See AI features.
- Tab sleeping: background tabs idle for 10 minutes release their engine view and reload when selected.
In development builds
These are in the private v0.4.3 build and not released. Its installer has not yet been tried on a real device.

- A built-in ad and tracker blocker

The browser chrome, AI chat home, library and settings pages are HTML/CSS/JS in ui/. Patched Servo code lives in third_party/.
Licence
The open build is MPL-2.0. The Myth agent and JustMyth cloud services are proprietary. Servo crates keep their own licences.
